Introduction
Fishermen´s pension Dalton Trail Lodge is situated at the bank of Dezadeash lake in the middle of wild Yukon with the borders of Alaska. Pension offers perfect comfort for our visitors. It lies very close to the National park Kluane in a little populated area. In the neighbourhood there are several lakes and rivers that offer gorgeous fishing of graylings, silver trouts, siveni, pikes or five kinds of Pacifik salmons. Individual parts of the district are available by boat, car, four – wheeler, hydroplane or helicopter.
Our employees are professional fishing instructors of Dalton Trail Lodge, guides of local conditions. Fishermen and season hunters are usual guests here nevertheless a lot of visitors come to see untouched nature and unrepeatable atmosphere.
Nowadays Dalton Trail Lodge is the most prestigious facility of its type.
Accomodation

Dalton Trail Lodge was built from cedar wood. There is a bar, a restaurant with a great European-American cuisine, a lounge with a fireplace, mini shop with fishery equipment, billiard, tennis field, grill and mountain bike rent. There is possible to use wire-less internet (WiFi) in the central building. The lake and the anchorage is about 150 m from lodge. Dalton Trail Lodge staff speaks English, German and French.
The guests stay in one-bed or two-bed rooms with a shower and lavatory. It is also possible to stay in a four-bed cottage (two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, shower, lavatory and view towards the lake. In 2007 a new cottage was started at the bank of Dezadeash lake where four bedrooms are. Maximum capacity of lodge (30 people) is kept. Some small two-bed rooms are changed into one.bed room. Dalton Trail Lodge remains family house with pleasant atmosphere. We prefer service quality.
Food
Full board. A local stylish restaurant has international standard. European breakfast offers home pastry, bitter, cheese, bacon, salami, eggs, jam, fruit, corn or wheat cereal, juice, tea or coffee.
After breakfast everybody prepares own lunch boxes (flask with tea or coffee and cooling lunch box is available).
Dinners with several dishes are the top of our chefs. Steaks, lamb and fishes are chef ´s specialities. Fresh vegetable salads are main dish of the day. In our vine cellars we offer the vine from California, Australia and Chile. Chef can prepare your own catch if you wish. You can just ask the chef if you want for a starter or for a main dish. You can also require vegetarian or diet meals or meals from our menu.
We can freeze or smoke your caught fish.
Fish hunting
The most common techniques are: spinning and fly fishing.
Eleven types of fish are hunted in more than twenty lakes, rivers and creeks near Dalton Trail Lodge during the fishing season. The most common catches are graylings, rainbow trouts and first of all siveni namaycush that measure over 1 meter. In several rivers near Dalton salmons and kings, sockey, kisutch are hunted. King salmons can be found in the river Tatsheshini. Lodge motorboats are prepared to take you to the best lakes or to the river of Takanne. You can catch this big fighting fish for salmon spawn or to fly fish them. Only fly fishing is allowed on the river Takanne. Silver salmon (kisutch) and sockey are possible to spin or to fly fish mainly in September. Salmons, trouts and graylings might be hunted in many places of Canada and Alaska. The hunt of siveni is the most attractive dream for fishermen from all over the world.
Our guests can use motor boats for transport on the lakes and rivers. You have to go by car, off-roads or hydroplane to nearer lakes.
We can provide several-day trips by helicopter or by hydroplane to further parts of the district and to the Alaskan mountains where the camps and hunter loghouses are available for the guest of Dallton Trail Lodge.
The rent of the motor boat on Dezadeash lake is included in the price of stay. Guests generally use local fishermen ´s services for fishing. Some lakes and rivers are available only by plane or with the help of four-wheelers. Their cost is included in the local instructor´s services.
All day fishing (8 hours) with an instructor together with means of transport (car, motor boat, four wheeler,…)costs about 400 CAD for group of 2-3 fishermen (150-200 CAD / person).
Transport
Regular links from Prague to Whitehorse by plane. The way is about 20 hours and you have to change the plane twice.
There is more comfortable direct fly from Frankfurt-Whitehorse (time of flight is about 8 hours). Direct fly Frankfurt-Whitehorse operates from May to September every Tuesday and Thursday. Book your fly on time because the links are busy. Attention! You have to own valid American and Canadian visa if you take this flight.
From the airport of Whitehorse to Dalton Trail Lodge is possible to travel in a rent car or to take transfer in a car or a minibus we provide. The journey takes about two hours. If you plan some trips and watch animals except fishing we recommend to rent a car.
After the stay in Dalton Trail Lodge you can continue with next programme in Canada or Alaska. One of the favourite alternatives is a combination of one-week fishing in Dalton and one-week walking in Yukon and Alaska in a mobile house.
Plane – ticket prices are dependent on free reservation classes in a concrete flight. We recommend booking your flight in earlier time period.

Stays in Dalton Trail Lodge are possible from May to September according to your requirements.

In the term from 16.6. to 22.7. and from 11.8. to 21.9. - 1.830 Euro/person
In the price is included: full board accommodation, motor boat rent including fuels for two fishermen, one day of fishing with a fishing instructor – visit at the lake Dezadeash.
Full board accommodation for non-fishermen - 170 Euro / day.
A child to 16 years discount of 50%.
Transfer from the airport of Whitehorse to Dalton Trail Lodge and back - 170 Euro/person.
One-week rent of off-road car with unlimited kilometres, car insurance and taxes – 460euros.
We can tell you a concrete price for a flight ticket to Whitehorse when booking a concrete term – depending on free capacity and a client´s requirements. Round fly ticket Prague-Whitehorse-Prague with transfer in Canada from 28.000 Kč. It is possible to arrange flight tickets on special direct flight Frankfurt-Whitehorse, it takes about 8 hours!
Fishing of salmons with our professional guide (transport in a car or on the motor boat ) - from 180 CAD/person/day. Hunting of siveni, pikes, trouts and graylings in mountain rivers in the wild guide, off-road cars, motor boat) - from 150 CAD / day.
The prices of fishing tours to Canada do not include licence that needs to be bought on place. All-year licence costs about 50 CAD, extra pay to keep salmon- 30 CAD. In some special parts of the rivers with migration of steelhead there is an extra pay of 10 - 20 CAD.
